Attention: Fraudsters!

Be on your guard.

Like all businesses and their customers, Nauheimer and its members are repeatedly targeted by fraudsters.

If you follow these seven tips, it will be difficult for criminals to get hold of your money.

1. Fake Staff Members

  • Do not give out any personal details to strangers who claim to be Nauheimer staff.

  • Never disclose your login details!

  • Nauheimer will not inform you of any changes (e.g. to your contribution account) by telephone. All changes and important notices can be found on the members’ portal.

  • Do not let yourself be pressured into taking action simply because time is supposedly running out.

  • Nauheimer does not accept cash!

2. Alleged Police, Prosecutors, Authorities

Don’t let yourself be intimidated or unsettled – no matter how assertive the caller or visitor may seem. If you are approached by people claiming to be police officers, always call the EMERGENCY NUMBER immediately. They will confirm whether or not they are genuine police officers. Police ID cards can be forged.

  • Membership of Nauheimer is no reason for you to follow instructions from people claiming to be government officials.

  • Claims that you or the Nauheimer are under investigation, that a criminal offence has been committed, that funds have been confiscated, or similar stories, are common scams and entirely fabricated.

  • Genuine government bodies will write to you officially, stating the name of the department. Do not ring the telephone number shown on the letterhead; instead, only ring the official telephone number published by the government body on its website.

Please note: Even websites that appear to be official government sites may be fake.

  • Nauheimer does not inform you of changes (e.g. to your membership account) by telephone. All changes and important notifications can be found on the members’ portal.

  • Do not allow yourself to be pressured into taking action simply because time is allegedly running out.

  • If the emergency number appears as the caller ID, this is a technical forgery.

3. Untrustworthy Intermediaries

Memberships with Nauheimer can be arranged by independent financial or insurance brokers and self-employed wealth and business advisers. These advisers act exclusively on behalf of the client, with the aim of providing independent advice.

It is not particularly difficult to call oneself a business adviser. Anyone can enter the consultancy business, even without training or professional experience. There are some very good, ambitious and competent newcomers, but occasionally there are others too.

Nauheimer therefore has little or no influence over the integrity and quality of advice provided. Please form your own opinion and decide which advisers you wish to work with.

Nauheimer pays professional intermediaries the standard market commission; there is therefore no reason for your consultant to charge you an additional fee.

4. Fake Invoices and Letters

All correspondence, including notices regarding membership fees, can be found on the members’ portal.

  • Please pay your membership fees exclusively into the account shown to you on the portal.

  • Under no circumstances should you change the payment reference.

  • Your membership number will not change!

5. Fake Websites

  • Be careful with links in emails. Always check that you are on the correct website!

  • Always check the full address!
URLs such as nvvk.de.internemitgliederbetreuung.com (dot after nvvk.de) are misleading forgeries.
    nvvk.de-mitglieder.abteilung13.com (a hyphen after nvvk.de) is incorrect.
nvvk.de/mitglieder/ (a slash after nvvk.de), on the other hand, is a valid page run by the Nauheimer.

  • You can access the Nauheimer Vorsorge Volkskasse website via https://nvvk.de.

6. SPAM and Phishing

Nauheimer NEVER sends SPAM! We never ask for login details over the phone. We never issue new login details or membership numbers over the phone (to which you are then supposed to transfer membership fees).

7. Your AI Agent

Please bear in mind that you are in control of your AI agents’ actions. Translated web pages, emails and other correspondence may contain errors.

If your AI agent changes the beneficiary details or your contact details on its own initiative, Nauheimer will assume that you have made the changes.
